Continued interest for the Interlecta translation applications and the steady growth of iPhone popularity has influenced the company into developing its software for the iPhone platform. Soon to be released is the Interlecta Translator for iPhone, an JavaScript-driven online plugin iPhone users will be able to use from their built-in browser.

The application will feature text translation capabilities for 20 languages, or over 300 language pairs, and will be offered free of charge. Future, expanded versions of the Interlecta Translator for iPhone will feature TTS (Text-to-Speech) and OCR (Optical Character Recognition) modules that enable the “Say It” and “Image Translation” functionalities, available on the Interlecta Translator for BlackBerryand J2ME platforms.
