The mobile translator Interlecta released for the market in India is called Interlecta Translator and will be available only for clients of the largest wireless carrier in the country AirTel. After the negotiations that Interlecta and AirTel lead, they agreed that the new translation software would be offered for free download and activation for a limited period of time and for clients of AirTel only. A yearly subscription fee will be required for users who download after this limited time offer.

Together with the system upgrade Interlecta have been working on, the development team of the company have added a new page to their website – a web translator. This service is similar to other translators and provides fast and accurate translation in many languages. The new feature of the home page will give users the chance to test the quality of translation before deciding to purchase one of our applications for BlackBerry or other phones.

After a long period of downtime Interlecta is online again. Thanks to the hard work of our development  we have successfully finished the system upgrade we have been working on and  our servers we brought back up in the evening of July 20th. The new system will be able to serve more clients and will require a shorter response time. Further enhancements are expected so, stay tuned.

We have performed an unplanned hardware and system software upgrade that caused a temporary interruption of our translation service. The significant growth of interest in our service had been overloading our servers and in order to maintain a stable service for regular users and be able to meet the demands of new customers, Interlecta had to make arrangements for new equipment.

Shortly after releasing an update for MozTrans – version 0.1.6 of the Mozilla Firefox translation add-on – the Interlecta software development team began working on another upgrade of the translation tool. The next version will feature an implementation of the service subscription model, where a user needs to activate their application before they can start using it.
